We’re coming up to the end of a 2024 that has had its share of ups and downs. Earlier this week, we shared a variety of updates and detailed patch notes about the changes coming with this update and in the future, as well as our reflections after the launch of Dauntless: Awakening. Today, though, we want to focus on our first seasonal event with new content in years - Frostfall.
From now until January 2nd, celebrate this most festive of seasons with new quests, new sweaters, an exclusive new crown, and a chance to face off against a Frostfall fairy tale Behemoth come to life - the Cheerless Charrogg.
The Cheerless Charrogg
Talk to Honest Ozz to kick off 5 Frostfall quests, including unlocking a repeatable Event Hunt with the Cheerless Charrogg. Do everything you can, between your weapons, snowballs, and the massively powerful Gift Grenade, to keep this fearsome foe at bay, all on a slippery ice field that will test the festive spirit of even the most joyful Slayers.
Frostfall, But Make It Fashion
Honest Ozz has 3 all-new Frostfall sweaters for sale - the Sweet Skates Sweater, The Gateway Sweater, and, of course, the Cheer Up, Charrogg sweater. Fashion-forward Slayers who complete the set (including 6 classic Frostfall sweaters) will earn the stunningly festive Crown of Good Cheer.
Frostfall Traditions
Snowball Fight island events are back, with team and solo events happening on the Skaldeskar Lowlands. Pelt fellow Slayers with snowballs, earn Frostfall Coins, and enjoy wholesome seasonal fun, all without the hassle of actually going outside.
Just like before, Frostfall Coins are a limited-time currency you’ll earn from seasonal quests, the Event Hunts, Snowball Fights, and breaking Behemoth parts on frosty islands.
And Honest Ozz has more than just sweaters in his stall. All sorts of classic Frostfall cosmetics and gifts are available for a limited time.
Looking Forward
While we aren’t ready to commit to a roadmap yet, we hope that this Frostfall serves as both a cozy celebration of the year we’ve had together, as well as a preview of the kinds of regular seasonal and event updates we have planned. One of our goals is to make Dauntless a living, breathing live game experience with something fresh and new always around the corner.
