CB 0.2.6 adds five new weapon models and a new Quillshot Armor Set. We’ve also made some exciting changes to Hammer combat that is the first step towards our new and improved combat system. This patch is rounded out by multiple Behemoth balance changes and a bundle of bug fixes.
Weapons and Armour - Lay Your Hammer Down, Kid

Hammer and Chain Blade users now also have dodge attacks. This is another step for us as we continue to update and improve our current combat system. You can read more info about that in our latest Development Insights Blog.
- Overhauled the way Special Meter reloads work for the Hammer.
- Successful fast reloads now give blue damage, which have a damage boost.
- Regular reloads now give yellow ammo, which do the default amount of damage.
- Failed reloads now give red ammo, which severely reduces the damage done.

Updated and refactored Hammer Special Meter combo so that the final blast will now do correct damage based on how many shells are remaining.

Updated elemental sounds for Charrogg, Hellion, and Stormclaw swords.
- Audio pass for all sword sounds and tweaks to improve whooshes.
Behemoths - Phantom Pain

Fixed a bug that sometimes caused severed limbs to knock players around.

Increased Gnasher size by 10% to better differentiate between rogue and normal variants.

Improved collision window on Shrike glide attack.

Increased knockback on Quillshot’s backhand attack.

Improved Moonreaver Shrike’s jumpslam attack prediction so that it misses less.

Increased knockback on Pangar’s roll attack to prevent players from getting juggled.

Added damage window on Pangar’s head during its tail spike throw attack.

Adjusted damage window and range of Stormclaw’s claw swipe attack to make it hit more reliably.

Added area of effect damage to Charrogg’s rage state entrance animation.

Increased knockback done by Charrogg’s side swipe and tail swipe attacks and improved collision to help reduce chances of players getting stuck inside after an attack.

Updated damage windows on Hellion side gore attack. It now has a damage window during windup where the tail used to just pass through the player.

Updated Charrogg death animation.

Improved recovery for Rezakiri after it’s Festival of Lights attack.

All Rezakiri moves and attacks now have vocalizations and audio.

Fixed a bug that caused Drask to target players when they were out of sight.

Quality of Life - Open Palm/Closed Fist

Fixed a bug where players could sometimes be damaged by friendly fire after being revived.

Friends can now be added by name through the the friends screen. Whispering your friends from this screen will now properly enter whisper chat mode.

Fixed a bug where Tier 6 Charrogg Greaves required an unobtainable item (Smokeshard). It has been replaced with an achievable ingredient (Flameshard).

Core rarity is now revealed by a fancy visual effect when the core is opened.

Inventory is now sorted alphabetically. This makes it much easier for players to find items in their inventory or loadout.

Further improved the End of Hunt screen and process. This will better frame both Slayers and Behemoths while showing off accolades.

Improved VFX to area-of-effect attacks to better reflect damage volume

Updated weapon special attacks to now allow them to potentially break parts.

Fixed a bug that caused players to get stuck on rocks near the edge of the map.

Dyes will now be copied over when upgrading armour. Players will no longer lose their dye configuration when upgrading an armour item to the next tier.

We’ve been hard at work squashing bugs and making improvements to Dauntless. Thank you to everyone for their patience and continued support! Your feedback has been instrumental in helping us track down and resolve these issues.
We believe we’ve found and fixed almost all progression-blocking bugs but please visit support.playdauntless.com if you are stuck because of a quest that will not complete.
We’re continuing to optimize and improve performance, especially in Ramsgate. If your game is crashing while joining or while in Ramsgate, please try lowering your graphic settings (especially resolution).
We’re aware and looking into a bug that causes Drask to sometimes shoot players through walls.
We’re looking into a bug which causes some flora to float off the ground
Some players may be experiencing disconnects and server crashes and we are actively working on these issues to improve overall stability.
Do not log into Dauntless from multiple places at the same time. It will lead to account data corruption.
Menus, icons, and controller support are a continued work in progress. Please use a mouse and keyboard where a controller is not fully supported.
Behemoths may occasionally walk in irregular patterns. Fix this by slaying them.
