Patch OB 0.6.3 brings an end to Frostfall and Hunt Pass Season One, revises the hammer's primed attack, and eradicates a few more bugs.


There may still be snow on the ground in Ramsgate, but Frostfall has finally come to an end. Tomorrow marks both the end of the holiday and the conclusion of our first-ever Hunt Pass. It’s been amazing to see so many Slayers running around in their Silver Nikola gear, and we want to say thanks to everyone who participated in, completed, and shared their feedback on the Hunt Pass.

If you haven’t done so yet, you can join the conversation on either the official Dauntless forums or the /r/dauntless subreddit. We’ll be doing a lot of data deciphering in the next few days as we plan, adjust, and build the forthcoming Hunt Pass Season 2. We’ll share more in the weeks to come.


  • Fixed a bug that could cause Valomyr’s tail to get stuck in walls.

  • Fixed another bug that caused the Sentinel’s Mask to turn hair invisible.

  • Fixed a number of Hunt Pass UI and functionality bugs.

  • Slayers will now be required to reach the Maelstrom in order to unlock Riftstalker and Valomyr gear.

  • Replaced old frost impact VFX with new, more polished VFX.

  • Clarified objectives in the “Heroic Endeavours” quest. The quest now specifies the minimum power required for both weapons and armour.

  • Improved the response on the chain blades’ push. It will now execute more consistently for players at the edge of the move’s range.

  • Revelation Rock (island) has undergone a polish and optimization pass. Gatherables and locations have also been revised.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause Dauntless to crash when exiting the game.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause the flare throwing animation to break if the repeaters were unholstered.

  • Fixed a bug where /r would not initiate a reply to the most recent whisperer after switching to the Guild, Party, or General chat channels.

  • Replaced some old lava VFX that were lingering on certain Charrogg attacks.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause eyes to clip through eyelids when certain ancestors were selected in the character creator.

  • While on the airship, players will now be able to see (a) the Behemoth icon and (b) its elemental strengths and weaknesses.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause facepaint to show up on the wrong part of a Slayer’s head.

  • Fixed a bug that caused hair to float when talking to NPCs.

  • Shrowd’s Doomsday Orb will once again explode after it expires. Several other Behemoth-created objects have been repaired as well.

  • Slayers will now be able to transmog (to and from) exotic helmets!


  • The hammer’s primed attack damage is now scaled by ammo quality. Having blue ammo grants a 25% increase to the damage bonus from primed attacks.
