Release: OB 0.5.5

OB 0.5.5 introduces an all-new matchmaking system and flow that will help players get in and out of hunts quicker and brings a mysterious cell vendor known as “the Middleman” to Ramsgate.

  • The Middleman has arrived in Ramsgate! This mysterious figure gives Slayers the opportunity buy, fuse, and reroll cells. Clear your social calendar, we have to cook.

  • A new matchmaking system and flow has been added to Dauntless. Slayers can enjoy shorter load times, more consistent matching, and more flexibility when preparing for hunts.

  • Slayers will now keep all materials and part breaks that were gathered during their hunt even if the hunt fails. We’ve also shifted things around so that Slayers get armour recipes when they first accept a quest – not after completing it. These changes should help Slayers who are stuck on certain Behemoths progress past them by allowing them to craft better armour sooner.

  • Increased the size of Pangar’s tail hitbox to allow Slayers to more easily target and break it. It’s cold in my veins.

  • Kharabak and Razorwing have undergone a polish pass to improve timing and collision. We’ve also added camera shake to attacks that it was missing from.

  • Reworked Stormclaw’s electric fence pylons to better reflect Stormclaw’s visual a e s t h e t i c.

  • Players who join a party whose leader is in a different city will now accurately see all party member banners in town. That’s my banner! I made it!

  • Completed an art polish and optimization pass on multiple islands.

  • Powered up a couple of aether vents that weren’t shooting Slayers far enough.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from joining a party if they declined an invite or received too many invites at the same time. I can’t help it that I’m popular.

  • Fixed a bug that caused Rezakiri’s strafe projectile to not do damage in some cases and also removed the damage on it’s flashbang flee projectile.

  • Fixed a bug that caused weapons to float away from Slayers if they ran too close to walls.

  • Fixed a bug that caused Pangar and Hellion to become unresponsive during hunts. Don’t move! He can’t see us if we don’t move.

  • Fixed a bug where the off-screen revive marker either would or wouldn’t disappear.

  • Fixed a bug where markers in the city (e.g. cell breaker, hunt board) would occasionally appear on the wrong object when facing a different direction.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented arrival animations from playing consistently. I’m alive on arrival.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause arrival animation previews to not play.
